“In the world of vintage clothing these blanket lined Lee Storm Rider Jackets were quite collectable, especially in Japan. In the early eighties I was working selling vintage clothing in Kensington in London so was really into this kind of stuff and they were much easier to find in America, where they were originally made.
When I found myself in California, in 1988, and bought my first motorbike, I started wearing these jackets and had a couple.
They are perfect for that climate cos it gets chilly in the evening but you don’t need something waterproof and you can see me wearing one sitting on a Harley in a pic on the previous page.”
