“1993 was somewhat of an odd time in my life and the life of the Cult... we had changed managers and witnessed how the exciting new music from Seattle had changed the rock landscape (in many ways for the better musically but possibly made it more dull and depressing haha).
During this period of writing the eponymous album we played some shows in Europe mostly with Metallica and did a couple with Guns n Roses. This pic is from Milton Keynes Bowl with GnR and was taken legendary Manc photographer Kevin Cummins who is also my mate and a fellow City fan.
On a personal note I was drinking a bit too much at that time and that tour was my last hurrah.... and on the last night in June at Brixton Academy I remember kicking over all my amps and refusing to do an encore!!! I knew then that it was deffo time to lay off the sauce!!!
