Hi…
So, after the long flight from LA we arrived in New Zealand safely sad to hear about the two people that had died in the recent earthquake but glad that the dates were OK to go ahead and that we didn’t have to let our fans down.
The two dates here have been amazing and a big thanks to everyone who came along and made the shows so special. Now it’s Grant’s homeland for the last ‘Alive In The Hidden City’ shows of 2016.
We know that there have been a lot of disappointed people particularly in Europe and South America this year but with the opportunity to do the shows with Guns n Roses we had to be realistic on what we could achieve…. and we have played more times this year than any since 2001!
This is why, while we take a few months off, we will be working hard behind the scenes to take this tour back on the road and get to some of those places that have missed out. This is also relevant to all the people that ask whether after the previous ‘Love Live’ and ‘Electric 13’ tours they can expect a ‘Sonic Temple’ one… well at the moment we feel ‘Hidden City’ hasn’t reached all the places we want to go yet! That said hopefully at some point we’ll maybe do a ‘Sonic Temple’ tour… maybe 😉
I think most of you will know that my big break in music came in 1981 when I was asked by Kirk Brandon to join ‘Theatre of Hate’. That pivotal moment set off my chance to “run away with the circus” and I’m still in the ring performing!
When I found out that Cherry Red Records were re-issuing the seminal ‘Theatre of Hate’ album ‘Westoword’ as a deluxe version I thought it would be great to catch up with Kirk to look back at that special time in my life. You can read this exclusive billyduffy.com interview here…

Even More Chaos!
In my last update I told you that just because the Cult shows will be over doesn’t mean I’m hanging up my guitar for the holiday season as I’ll be out on the road with Kings of Chaos.
We’ll since that message we’ve added another 5 shows and will be hitting the East Coast too! The only difference in the mega line up is that Corey Taylor is doing the Vegas dates and Robin Zander will be playing the East Coast ones. That means that as well as me and KOC main man Matt Sorum you’ll see Chester Bennington, Steve Stevens Robert Deleo, Franky Perez the legendary Billy Gibbons at all the shows!
